Trong danh sách Yahoo, hẳn phải có vài tên đáng ghét mà ta không muốn nhìn thấy cái mặt. Hoặc bạn đã từng bị một số nick lạ nhảy vào spam, gây bực mình và khó chịu. Vậy khi đó, giải pháp tốt nhất là tùy chỉnh cho Yahoo! Messenger (Y!M) để chặn tất cả những nhân vật đó lại.
Đầu tiên, chọn menu Messenger > Preferences hoặc dùng phím tắt Ctrl + Shift + P.
Sau đó, hộp thoại “Yahoo! Messenger Preferences” được mở ra. Trong cửa sổ này, bạn chọn “Ignore List” từ danh sách Category.
Lúc này, nếu muốn chặn kẻ xấu không có trong danh sách Y!M thì nhấp chọn “Ignore anyone who is not on my Messenger List”. Nếu bạn chỉ muốn giới hạn với một số nick nào đó, hãy chọn “Ignore only the people below”.
Nhấn nút “Add”. Khi này hộp thoại “Ignore a User” mở ra, bạn hãy gõ nick cần chặn (ví dụ là badboy). Nhấn nút “Ignore”.
Nếu muốn loại bỏ khỏi danh sách thì bạn bấm “Remove”. Cuối cùng là nhấn “Apply” để hoàn thành.
